For PvE any pet will do ya. Honest. The rest is just personal preference.
For example, I don鈥檛 have a crab as a pet on any of my hunters. The reason is simple. Crabs get claw
but they do not get bite. I don鈥檛 like to use claw with low level pets. In my opinion claw, and gore for that mater, use up way too much focus unless you have bought the talents to give
your pet more focus. So I prefer using bite. Thus crabs just don鈥檛 have the right abilities for my personal taste.
But I have leveled with a spider and a crocalisk and a boar and a wolf and a tallstrider and several other pets. They have all made great pets. So look around, find something you like and have fun.

is ninjaill admit im relatively new to the hunter thing.. but in my 30+ levels i love my bear. teach him the best growl you can so he can hold aggro and hell take a lickin and keep on tickin.
thats my two cents takem or leavem.Try out some pets, pay attention to the way they look, their animations, sounds and the like. Based on that, pick a favorite and go with it. For example, the ravager you already have. If you like it stick with it, there's no pets anymore for the most part.
If you want to be TOLD what to get... I like cats, get one of those.Anything
