Macros and clipping autoshots2010-03-06Kill Command does NOT activate the GCD. However, it cannot go while casting steady shot, and if it goes while casting auto-shot (the last 0.5 seconds of the auto shot) it will delay the AUTO SHOT by 0.5 seconds after the KC goes off.
Steady shot is enhanced by rapid fire and other speed increasing effects, however you have to consider the last 0.5 seconds of your attack speed will still be auto-shot. So for the most part, unless you have a huge amount of increased attack speed (or a REALLY fast bow), your steady shot wont delay your auto shot.
Vague leveling opinion question2010-02-26I poked around with exotics a little bit and found that a worm pet holds excellent single-target aggro, and the acid spit armor debuff noticeably improves personal DPS. I believe I will use one for 70-80 (as I predict a lack of AoE killings available when Northrend is booked to with whom I have lived, blade with whom I now die,
serve right and justice one last time, seek one last heart of evil,
still one last life of pain, cut well old friend, and then farewell.Any pet. Any specc. Any tactic. All is viable. All is doab...
GameSpy Enters the World of Warcraft Arena Tournament2009-11-09The GameSpy team has been adventuring in World of Warcraft since the game first launched, playing with our Murloc pets, collecting flowers with herbalism and frolicking in the Darkmoon Faire. We've grown soft. Complacent.
No more! The time for role-playing is over. Now we go to war! Well, not literal war, but we are participating in Blizzard's World of Warcraft Arena Tournament, and we want you to take part in the fun. If you're an active World of Warcraft player, you can sign up for the World of Warcraft Arena Tournament (there's a $20 charge) and take on the best competition available. Or, for what we imagine will be an easier challenge, our own GameSpy team.
You can find the official details on the official Arena Tournament Information page. And if you want to challenge the Spy Guys, we'll be playing scheduled games on Thursdays between 4 and 5 p.m. PST. If you can't play during those hours, you may still catch us at other times during the week.
If you're wondering what all this is about, you're not alone. For many players, WoW's Arenas remain an untouched element of the game. Even here at GameSpy we've got a wide range of experience, from relative PvP newbs to some pretty hardcore Arena vets. Read on for our various perspectives of the Arena and the things we've learned at this level of competition -- you might even pick up a few strategies you can use.Fargo [The Minor-Leaguer]: Ah, PvP! A couple of years ago I rolled up an Undead Priest named Inspecktor. (Fans of the Flintlocke Comic Strip I drew would recognize my character as one of the "Pween Scene Investigators" who periodically show up at murder investigations.) My intent had been to try out the h...
WBIE Aiming to Expand MMO Market with The Matrix Online2009-09-10The massively multiplayer online gaming business seems to be getting bigger by the day. Players have more choices than ever before, so if you're a publisher of an MMO you have to do your best to let gamers know what your product can offer that the competition can't. If a publisher can get enough players hooked on its title, then subscription fees should take care of the rest.
Early next year, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), with the help of co-publisher Sega, will bring its own MMO to market. The Matrix Online, developed by Monolith Productions, will offer what no other MMO can: a continuation of the Matrix universe and where every person "jacked in" plays an active role in shaping the continuing saga. GameDAILY BIZ recently sat down with Jason Hall, Senior Vice President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, to see what he thinks of the current MMO market and how The Matrix Online fits into it.
Hall told us that work began on the technology for Matrix Online back in 2000, and it wasn't until 2002 that WBIE inked a deal with Monolith to begin developing the game. Interestingly, he said that Monolith had been working on the game even before they got the deal with WB...
Bastardizing Ed Hardy's Name For a Horrible Energy Drink2009-08-18I totally get the whole Japanese aesthetic in tattoo design thing. I get the use of flash tatoo as a loaded symbol of human emotion BS. But really, the crass merchandising of an art form, any art form is deplorable. It is even more obnoxious when that art form is one about an underground culture - now usurped by mainstream america. When Ed Hardy started tattooing, the whole concept was so counter cultural - so against the mainstream. Hardy had even mentioned once in an interview that "I liked that it couldn't be commodified."
Well right now you cant get more commodified than the expensive and very upscale clothing lines by Hardy's merchandisers, which of course have no real connection to Ed Hardy ( except for the big fat check he gets). That was all because of Christian Audigier, the same one responsible for killing the image of Von Dutch by turning it into cheap crap (...
have been happening lately 2009-06-02Lots of weird things have been happening lately. Guildie linked the Legendary bow into guildhat one day (it had been linked in Tradehannel). The bow had a Mongoose ehant on it. Don't know if it was a bug they didn't pk up in the PTR, but it was very strange.
Here is mine. Not elite, but it made for a goodonvo and a neat p. I had just tamed Gorlaw, after me and my friend had done the quest to kill him. We rode bk to town and turned in the quest.. Then fri...
though Is it for all2009-06-02That tooltonfuses me though. Is it for all beasts if you have Trk Beast up? Or is it only against the target you have marked?
idiggory wrote:That tooltonfuses me though. Is it for all beasts if you have Trk Beast up? Or is it only against the target you have marked? It doesn't say anything about marking. This is to reple the slaying talents that areurrently in the survival tree. Instead of having multle talents for different mobs Blizz dided to allow hunters extra damage to whatever they're trking. A very nehange. Spend 5 points for 5% extra damage to any trkable mob vs th...
of a mirror image type ability [like2009-05-13Ive always passed around the idea of a mirror image type ability [like the lady in holomae] or a fan of blades type aoe ability. The dispel does sound a bit unlikely to be inserted but its ne toonsider. We are going into 51 points and that means a whole new tier ability, orrtion, 3 whole new tier abilities for ehlass. Either buff types or a new ability unto their own. Not to mention the new abilities to be iluded andhanges to the talent tree strture....
any idea how fast Ian spam 1P2009-05-13Would be ridulously OP. Do you have any idea how fast Ian spam 1P finishers?
Personally, I'd rather see Evis get a pure damage buff (really, just make it ale better than iturrently does). A dispel would beool, but I'm not sure that building up 5 points and then dumping them into an evis would even make it worth while. I don't really see them adding that to the roguelass (not that I would mind it... I just don't see it happening). To be honest... I'd rather have evis giving a 10% redtion to healing...
to say to the aboveouple of 2009-05-05 All I'am going to say to the aboveouple of is yet again NO I do not know mh about otherlasses unless I have played them. How else would I know? Iouldntare less about a warrior or a rogue unless I've had a go at playing them. As for being stupid by asking my questions, well isnt that what the forums are for? Asking questions for help? Sometimes peoples vanity gets in the way of normal judgement.
Another good spot to get some info without having people start arguing about the answ...
